At GDC this week, Crytek showed off the first real-time footage of their new CryENGINE 3, a new engine designed with a console focus that'll allow the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 to play first person shooters with a substantial increase in graphical bells and whistles.
The engine is being shown to GDC attendees and while a full list of games using the engine hasn't been announced yet, we're eager to see who's on board with this new engine. Although, at the same time, we were hoping for something with a little more pizazz. It's certainly no PC engine, but we're not complaining too much. It's still pretty.

Looks great. I would love to see a Crysis style game (i.e. in the suit) but set in a more urban environment. Hopefully we will find out at E3 that some developers are already using the engine.
