There are a couple things you'll likely notice when you watch this new trailer for the next installment in the Ghost Recon franchise. First off it's pretty clear that Ubisoft has been watching the piles of money that Activision has been raking in because the style definitely feels a lot like what we've seen from Call of Duty. However while much of it feels Call of Duty-ish, there's still tons of Ghost Recon in there to make it different.
The first thing most people think of with Ghost Recon is tons of awesome gadgets and Future Soldier is definitely no slouch. You'll see active camouflage, flying drones, thermal vision and even something that allows these soldiers to look through walls. Surely this is just the beginning of some of the cool toys that Future Soldier is going to let you play with.
Ghost Recon Future Soldier is set to release on May 22 in North America and May 24 in Europe for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. A PC version will launch at a later date.
Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City is set to drop players into a three-sided battle between the US Spec Ops team, the Umbrella Security Service and the vicious zombies plaguing the city. Apart from being just able to choose which (human) side to play as, one of the more interest aspects is that each side has its own interesting character with various abilities.
This new video gives a better look at each class in the game, six total for each side. Even though both sides share the same six classes: Assault, Recon, Medic, Surveillance, Field Scientist and Demolition, it does appear that each side will still retain different abilities within each class. Just one more reason why this genre-switch of the Resident Evil franchise is looking like something cool.
Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City is set to release on March 20 in North America and March 23 in Europe for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. A PC version is also slated to launch at a later date.
The Darkness II is right around the corner and 2K Games has released another video to whet the appetite of hungry quad-wielders. This short snippet shows off even more brutal executions that protagonist Jackie Estacado can pull off with his giant demon arms. Needless to say the different executions you can pull off are equal parts awesome and gory.
The Darkness II releases next week on February 7 in North America and February 10 in Europe for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.

A big part of the upcoming Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City is going to be the various multiplayer modes. With two distinct groups battling it out in the game, multiplayer was imminent and today Capcom has laid out how you'll fighting each other. The multiplayer will be 4 vs. 4 online matches with one side taking the role of the bad guys of the USS while the other side plays nice as the US Spec Ops.
Team Deathmatch has sides battling for the most kills. Biohazard mode sounds like capture the flag as teams rush to return a sample of the G-virus safely to their base. Then there's Survivor mode in which players fight to escape Raccoon City and claim one of the limited spaces on the rescue helicopter. Naturally all of these modes will also feature the threat of hungry zombies in addition to enemy players. There's also Heroes mode, which allows you to play as popular Resident Evil characters like Leon S. Kennedy, Hunk or Jill Valentine.
