Many believe that Ico and Shadow of the Colossus were two of the best games ever to be released on the PS2. As a result, it goes without saying that Team Ico's next game, The Last Guardian, is a highly anticipated release for Sony. To whet your appetite, the PlayStation.Blog has a video interview with the game's director, Fumito Ueda.
Though no new information was disclosed in the interview, the discussion does address Team Ico's approach to game design. In addition, Ueda hints that the game may end differently from what everyone expects. (Hopefully, this means I won't be crying like a baby.)
On a side note, the developer recently told Kotaku that there are currently no plans to bring Ico and Shadow of the Colossus to the PS3. He did say that he would be interested in the project.
No release date has been announced for The Last Guardian.
Considering all the news of delays, it's good to have a game release announcement. Fat Princess will be available for the PSN this Thursday, July 30, for $14.99.
To learn more about the game, check out the below PlayStation.Blog video interview with Titan Studios, developers of the game. In-game chat, trophies, single player, story mode, DLC and customization are all discussed. Get ready for those game nights!

At last week's EA3 event, we had a chance to talk with Matt Read, Madden NFL 10's Lead Designer, about the upcoming release of the popular football game.
