Assassin's Creed 2 gameplay revealed at Sony press conference PDF Print E-mail

The team from Ubisoft gave us our first glimpse of Ezio in action yesterday during the Sony press conference. As we watched the footage, it was hard not to notice how beautiful the scenery was. Italy really comes to life as fireworks explode overheard and revelers meander through the streets.

Ezio scales buildings, takes out guards, and even uses a flying machine developed by Leonardo Da Vinci. The gameplay looks incredibly smooth and showcases just enough of that new-game shine to have us clamoring for the chance to get our hands on the actual demo. Stay tuned as more information rolls in and first hand experiences roll in from our E3 team later this week.

While you wait, check out the video below!

DAMN! the only thing 'wrong' with the fist AC was it did get repetitive, but with all this variety they're touting, this thing is going to be AMAZING!!

I was surprisingly impressed by this demo. I'd kept my expectations low after the first AC disappointed me with its repetitiveness, but what I see here looks fun. I'm reading a feature on Play magazine on AC2 and it seems they are really taking to all the criticisms AC received to heart and using all it as feedback in order to make AC2 as diverse and better as possible. So I'm cautiously optimistic. That said, the visuals on this game are amazing!
