Ghost Recon Future Soldier Single Player Reveal PDF Print E-mail
Written by Kyle Orr
Thursday, February 02 2012 06:13

There are a couple things you'll likely notice when you watch this new trailer for the next installment in the Ghost Recon franchise. First off it's pretty clear that Ubisoft has been watching the piles of money that Activision has been raking in because the style definitely feels a lot like what we've seen from Call of Duty. However while much of it feels Call of Duty-ish, there's still tons of Ghost Recon in there to make it different.

The first thing most people think of with Ghost Recon is tons of awesome gadgets and Future Soldier is definitely no slouch. You'll see active camouflage, flying drones, thermal vision and even something that allows these soldiers to look through walls. Surely this is just the beginning of some of the cool toys that Future Soldier is going to let you play with.

Ghost Recon Future Soldier is set to release on May 22 in North America and May 24 in Europe for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. A PC version will launch at a later date.

Take a look at the different characters in Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City PDF Print E-mail

Wednesday, February 01 2012 08:08

Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City is set to drop players into a three-sided battle between the US Spec Ops team, the Umbrella Security Service and the vicious zombies plaguing the city. Apart from being just able to choose which (human) side to play as, one of the more interest aspects is that each side has its own interesting character with various abilities.

This new video gives a better look at each class in the game, six total for each side. Even though both sides share the same six classes: Assault, Recon, Medic, Surveillance, Field Scientist and Demolition, it does appear that each side will still retain different abilities within each class. Just one more reason why this genre-switch of the Resident Evil franchise is looking like something cool.

Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City is set to release on March 20 in North America and March 23 in Europe for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. A PC version is also slated to launch at a later date.

Take a glance at the upcoming Creation Kit for Skyrim PDF Print E-mail

One of the benefits to getting a massive game like The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on PC is the incredibly robust modding community.  In the months since Skyrim's release modders have already done impressive things like improving textures, adding more content and changing dragons into flying versions of Macho Man Randy Savage. All of this has been done without any modding tools.

One of the things Bethesda is known for is releasing impressive modding tools and their upcoming Creation Kit is no doubt going to invigorate Skyrim with even better mods. While there still isn't a firm release for the Creation Kit, we have just received a video going through some of the things we can expect from it. The coolest part is by far the integration with Steam Workshop, a way to esily upload and download mods right from within Steam. Check out the new video below.

Mass Effect 3 Voice Cast Revealed PDF Print E-mail
Written by Gustavo Ramirez
Tuesday, January 31 2012 05:07

It's less than two months until Mass Effect 3 is released and if you're anything like me, you're in full "don't let anything get spoiled about Mass Effect 3" mode. Usually I avoid any teasers or trailers this close to release but the trailer sent out today by Bioware focuses on the voice cast for Mass Effect 3 and stays away from any potential major spoilers. We get a little behind-the-scenes action with some returning favorites like Seth Green and Martin Sheen as well as newcomers Freddie Prinze Jr. and Jessica Chobot.

Interestingly enough, Freddie Prinze Jr.'s character looks nothing like him while Jessica Chobot's is a mirror image. Good job Bioware. Now I have to choose between Ashley, Miranda or Chobot in the love department. Thanks for the extra headache.

Mass Effect 3 is set to release March 6 on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC in North America and on March 9 in Europe.

Check out the video below and let us know if you're as excited as us here at TAG to get your hands on it.

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City Multiplayer Modes Detailed PDF Print E-mail
Written by Kyle Orr
Thursday, January 12 2012 13:06

A big part of the upcoming Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City is going to be the various multiplayer modes. With two distinct groups battling it out in the game, multiplayer was imminent and today Capcom has laid out how you'll fighting each other. The multiplayer will be 4 vs. 4 online matches with one side taking the role of the bad guys of the USS while the other side plays nice as the US Spec Ops.

Team Deathmatch has sides battling for the most kills. Biohazard mode sounds like capture the flag as teams rush to return a sample of the G-virus safely to their base. Then there's Survivor mode in which players fight to escape Raccoon City and claim one of the limited spaces on the rescue helicopter. Naturally all of these modes will also feature the threat of hungry zombies in addition to enemy players. There's also Heroes mode, which allows you to play as popular Resident Evil characters like Leon S. Kennedy, Hunk or Jill Valentine.

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City is set to launch on March 20 in North America and March 23 in Europe.

Video Reaction: AMY PDF Print E-mail
Written by J.Betancourt

Amy is a survival horror video game, developed by VectorCell and published by Lexis Numérique. The player controls Lana, a woman escorting a young girl, Amy. Lana is charged with protecting her as the two attempt to escape their disease-ridden town. They encounter monsters and the military, among other foes, in their attempt to escape. The story is pretty straight forward, minus the mystery of "who done it". VectorCell did a formidable job with the ambient sounds but the voice acting feels amateurish. The twitchy controls were frustrating, making me want to punt my controller out the window. Maybe my controller has a problem with the left bumper because controlling Lana was comedy gold. Visually the game is very reminiscent of playing Condemned: Criminal Origins.

Overall I didn't feel like AMY was near the standard that other survival-horror games have set for the genre. I would recommend waiting for AMY to go on sale. AMY is a downloadable title available now on the Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Network.

A copy of AMY was provided by the publisher.

Sega has announced that House of the Dead 3 will be available exclusively over PSN on February 7 with House of the Dead 4 set to release later this Spring. Both titles have been updated with HD graphics, trophies, and complete PlayStation Move support.

"The House of the Dead has always been one of SEGA's most popular series, and over the years we have worked hard to bring that full arcade experience to console owners," said Haruki Satomi, Senior Vice President of Digital Business at SEGA of America. "The abilities of the PlayStation 3, as well as PlayStation Move, have let us get closer than ever before. The only thing these titles are missing is a need for quarters."

House of the Dead 4 released in arcades in 2005. This PSN release will be the first time it has ever been available on a home console.
