Remember-When-higher-resSee ya at the party, Richter! - Part 1

IT'S NOT A TUMAH!  And no, this isn't some sort of alternate reality crafted from your deepest desires.  A new episode of Remember When is actually queued up and ready for you to download.  Do it!  Do it now!

Episode 25 brings you the first half of our Arnold Schwarzenegger bonanza.  We take a look back on the Governator's film history, reminisce fondly about some of his greatest film moments, and laugh hysterically at some of his less than stellar moments.

It all starts with Conan The Barbarian, one of Arnold's early performances. It's the latest in the line of Great Movies Jay Has Never Seen, but as the film creeps up on its 30 year anniversary, will it stand the test of time?  Will the 80's cheese fest and excessive use of loin cloths make Jay turn up his nose in disgust, or will Parris see another victory over one of his beloved pieces of film history?  Find out in this week's show.

We also look back at one of the truly quintessential pieces of Arnold movies, as well as one of the best sci-fi movies of all time.  Total Recall gets torn apart, rebuilt, and then torn apart again.  Once it's said and done, we wipe its memory and throw it into a Johnny Cab.

And with the launch of "V" on ABC, we take a few minutes to talk about the newly re-imagined series.  Can 25 years and a multi-million dollar budget per episode make up for Marc Singer's absence?  Does Elizabeth Mitchell have what it takes to play a lead in a series?  And most importantly, will the show's production hiatus play in its favor?  Listen in and find out.

As always, Remember When continues to grow and thrive thanks to the joy, love, appreciation, and comments we get from our fans. If you enjoy our show, please leave us positive feedback on iTunes. We really appreciate it, plus it helps us reach people that have never heard of us! As you guys were talking about Sharon Stone's first starring role, I recalled watching her in a movie with Richard Chamberlain called Allan Quartermain & the Lost City of Gold from the mid-late 80's. Upon researching it, I discovered it was her 2nd movie with Chamberlain in the series and the first was in 1985, 2 years before Polica Academy 4. The 2 movies are done along the lines of a cheesy Indiana Jones and the first even has John Rhys-Davie, the second has James Earl Jones & Elvira.

Yeah, I remember her on that movie, that was quite a good ripoff of Indy!jaja...About today podcast excellent, Parris do not see DR.WHO...it will hook you badly, I got hooked a month back, and had to stop abruptly at the end of the third season, that series is so good man!I saw like the 3 seasons in 2 weeks!!!
And about torchwood, I saw it before DR.WHO,and I am talking about the miniseries CHILDREN OF EARTH,man do yourself a favor and see just that third season of Torchwood, it is a standalone watchable series, believe me!
And when will we have the Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep podcast.....????

It should be noted that Arny,Stallone and in somewhat similar way Bruce Willis where the heroes of our 80's action flicks! But Arny I have just realized was the man!

By the way Parris, you must know this fact, but just in case...Phillip K. Dick work was the inspiration for Blade Runner and Total Recall, right?

Another thing that hit me while listening to the podcast. Parris, I share your love of Elizabeth Mitchell (she fills out the sweater just fine in the Secret Santa scene in Santa Clause 2). I was wondering if you had seen the movie Gia with her and Angelina Jolie? She's topless in it a couple of times. Check it out if you haven't already.

Take it easy.
