... There are a lot of Trek characters I admire, but ultimately, I had to pick Odo. He's the epitome of someone with a gruff exterior having the proverbial heart of gold. Through flashbacks, we get to see Odo's entire life play out and watch him grow as an individual. He's a fully 3 dimensional character. After finally "getting the girl", he sacrifices his one true love for the sake of his people, selflessly giving of himself. All in all, Odo rocks. |

... Lieutenant Commander Data is a personal favorite of mine. His curiosity and different perspective always seemed to stay refreshing. Next Generation was the first Star Trek showed I ever watched, and I loved it. Since those days, I've gone back and watched the original series, and bits and pieces of other versions. |

... I was a fan of the Borg. Since they are a collective then I guess all of them count. I think its great that humanity faces a foe they are truly over matched and keep on adapting to humans. They over come the borg at times, but there is no true answer to the plight. That and some of them just looked darn cool. |

... Lieutenant Commander Geordi La Forge. As a kid, I loved the VISOR prosthetic. To this day, I'm fascinated with the concept of overcoming a "handicap" technologically, and in many cases exceeding the functionality of the "real deal." ...that, and as a kid with only the basic channels growing up, I loved seeing LaVar Burton on Reading Rainbow on PBS too. lol. |

... My favorite Star Trek character of all time has to be Doctor "Bones" McCoy. His one liners were great, from "He's dead, Jim" to "Damnit Jim, I'm a doctor not a miracle worker!" Also, in the Star Trek movie from last year, the quote "Space is disease and danger wrapped in darkness and silence" always stuck with me after the credits rolled. |
