  • About me
  • Everything you need to know about me: I'm English, hate tea, my teeth are in good condition and I enjoy gaming! I'm a glutton for punishment. After 4 360 failures I still came back for my fifth console. As always my gaming is way behind the crowd. I`m currently working my way through Mass Effect 1 and Half Life 2 but only in between Modern Warefare 2 sessions. I recently finished Braid which was a LOT of fun and pretty challenging, although I have no idea what the hell the story meant. Answers on a postcard. Apart from all that I`m nervously excited for Halo Reach. The beta left me with some serious reservations. After experiencing MW2 then going back to Halo it felt extremely punishing, the Load-Outs didn´t feel fleshed out enough (they need to be customisable) and Bungie have their work cut out balancing the weapons. I´d choose a pea shooter over the AR. C`mon Bungie do the game and the story justice! My insatiable addiction to Bomberman continues and I'm now ranked at 127 in the world :o) Outside of gaming I enjoy watching films and writing. All time favourite film - Rocky 2!! Always happy to hear from new people so feel free to send me a message.

Thursday, June 25 2009 Michael Jackson - R.I.P

I just wanted to post my own tribute to the undisputed king of music.

Like your song title says - 'Gone Too Soon' (Dangerous album)

Wednesday, March 18 2009 Peggle becomes 'Paygle'?

Maybe Pop Cap got it wrong?

This has been bugging me for a few weeks now so thought i'd put it out there. I've noticed; on UG particularly, that the guys cant pronounce 'Peggle' but instead call it 'Paygle'.  Is this an American thing? Either way it's doing my head in.

Anyway rant over. I wont 'bayg'. I'm only pulling your 'layg', I'm off to drink a 'kayg'  ;o)

Wednesday, March 18 2009 Xbox 360 - number 5!!!

RROD number 5

It was March  - Spring was approaching and all was well... until my 360 RROD'd on me. After around a year and a half my 360 (and at that point my 3rd) went to that big Xbox place in the sky. And only 3 months after the warranty ran out - perfect. All was not lost however as I have a guy who works at my local game store who said he would switch mine for a pre-owned. Ok so not quite legit but I did buy it from there so it was more like 'bending' the rules. So I got my new 360 home and it ran like a dream, until after only 1 week the f*%^ing thing RROD'd again. ARE YOU JOKING???

I love the console but let me jump on that bandwagon and state for the record "The XBOX 360 is the most unreliable and noisy  piece of crap ever made. If I get so much as a hint of red on the next Xbox  I'm going to Sony (they only break their games)"

Jerry Jackson stars in a series of crude flash animations created made by Englishman David Firth. The terrible animation and rubbish grammer make his cartoons hilariously funny.

Monday, March 02 2009 Just Cause 2 - Where art thou?

Where are you???

I got thinking this week how awesome Just Cause was. It lacked depth sure, missions were rather repetitive absolutely, but damn it was fun!

I lost count of the number of hours I spent shooting planes and cars with that grappling gun then skydiving from heights unseen in games other that the Ace Combat series. GTA is great and all that but it takes itself very seriously these days. Just Cause took the best parts of the early GTA games and ramped up the chaos factor by 10. Add this to the most uplifting, gorgeous world in ages and there's our hit right there.

This leads me on to the question, where is Just Cause 2? No announcements in months. I heard some news about it over a year ago - something about snow landscapes, but nothing to get my teeth into. Have Eidos canned this (potentially) great sequel? Did the acquisition of Eidos by Square Enix have an affect on it?

Message me with your thoughts and comments.
