My blog posts

Hey fight fans,

You might of heard about my love for Street Fighter IV.  Now check out the next level.  I just finished my first arcade stick modification.  I took the standard MadCatz  FightStick($69.99) and modded it with Sanwa Buttons OBSF 30 ($17.00) , Sanwa JLF TP Joystick($24.95) and Seimitsu Clear Red Ball Top ($3.95).  The process only took an hour.  I learned by watching Youtube vids! hehe.

So you might be wondering, why do it? Well the Madcatz FightStick is a good entry level starter.  It just lacks with cheap feeling parts that breakdown after use. The answer?  Adding the best stuff from Japan!  You can purchase at www.LizardLick.com.

After the process, I was quite nervous about testing the stick.  Remember opening the back  voids your warranty!  Thankfully everything worked PERFECT.  The stick is ultra responsive and buttons are buttery JVB smooth.  Just like the real deal Street Fighter IV arcade cabinet.

Adding these goodies might not make you better at Street Fighter. Hey, you never know!

Thanks for reading! Jason (aka GOLF RAT)

This is my first blog.  I'm not much of a writer, but I hope you still enjoy it.  We all know my love for Modern Warfare 2 and the more I play the game, the more it impresses me.  I find something new every time I play it.  The balance of multiplayer is deeper that even I could imagine.  Ok I'll stop.

My goal from day one was to call in a Nuke.  After 48 hours of play it finally happened.  It was the biggest rush I ever had in a video game.  My heart was racing, my hands were shaking. I was so nervous I couldn’t aim.  It takes skill and alot of luck.  So this is how it happened.

It was on the map Favela during a Ground War Domination Match with my fellow TAGers by my side.  I was equipped with the ACR (silencer), Scavenger Perk, Stopping Power Pro and Scrambler Pro. I used claymores and flash grenades.  My kill streaks were Harrier Strike (7 kills), Chopper Gunner (11 kills) and of course the Tactical Nuke (25 kills).

I quickly died a few times then I killed 4 opponents and ran into a building directly in the middle of the map.  I placed a claymore at the steps to cover my back.  Every time the claymore went off, I quickly ran down the stairs and placed another claymore at the exact same spot.  This is where the Scavenge Perk comes in handy!  After my 7th kill I set off my Harrier Strike, unfortunately the enemy shot it down very quickly.  I was patient and made it to kill number 11 and unleashed the Chopper Gunner and did some serious damage.  After the massacre I was up to 20 kills.  Five more to go.

At this point I had full ammo.  Picking up the weapons from fallen soldiers was huge.  I told the team I was close once I got to 23.  Playing it safe I never left the room.  The enemy kept rushing the building from all sides and shooting at me through windows. I almost had a heart attack.  I reached 25 kills and .............. nothing happened. I got to 26 kills, nothing!  What’s going on?  I kept checking my score which was dumb and then finally after 27 kills the NUKE ICON APPEARED!  My team cheered and the countdown began to tick.  Never in my 30 plus years of gaming have I ever felt such an accomplishment.  Then it comes...Kaaa BOOM!  Game over.

Wow, that's all I can say. Infinity Ward, you rock! I hope reading this helps or inspires you to go after the Nuke.  Trust me, its well worth it.
Thanks for reading.
